This book is about the different views on the purpose/benefits/effects of the Internet.
It is informative and shows a balanced viewpoint in whichever stand the writers had.
Some of the interesting views on the internet are. . .
"Internet has not improved education"
"Internet privacy laws are unnecessary"
"The internet will spark a communications revolution(Overide the need for phones)"
There is a rather interesting point mention in the book about music piracy.
This is about the term time shifting.
(Time shifting is the recording of television shows to some storage medium to be viewed at a time more convenient to the consumer.)
In 1979, Universal sued Sony, claiming its timed recording capability amounted to "copyright infringement".
However, a district court found that noncommercial home use recording was considered fair use and ruled in favor of Sony.
In appeals, the United States Court of Appeals reversed this decision in 1981 giving the edge to Universal, but the
Supreme Court of the United States reversed it yet again in 1984, and found in favor of Sony 5-4.
The majority decision held that time shifting was a fair use, represented no substantial harm to the copyright holder, and would not contribute
to a diminished marketplace for its product.

There is much irony in this case, that is why i think RSAA's actions will be like those of a toothless tiger.
If i bought the Cd, burn it, place it on the net for storage but some dude downloads it and distributes it freely, will i be in trouble ?
Things i'd learnt.
Readers are encouraged to respect others' opinions, even when they are(non-professional).
Readers are also taught that it is only by reading or listening to and objectively
evaluating others'ideas that one can determine whether they are worthy of consideration. This is the biggest lesson
learnt after my reading.
I have also learn the reason as to why a person has a particular stance on an issue through evaluation of the writer's
idea.
Another important lesson learnt is that I should not regard anyone that disagrees as enemies but rather as people whose views
deserve further examination and may even prove one's wrong.
Ultimately, this book prepares high school students for critical thinking and make them aware of issues that affect society.
It is published in the year 2002
Some things mentioned are slightly dated, and the year quotes are from the 1990s. Thus, the information may only be relevent at
that period of time. Good for reference though.

Thats is why, it may be a good thing to allow him to have some alcohol(to get alittle brave/drunk/whatever) to allow him the chance to speak his mind to us(relatives), where otherwise it would be highly impossible when he's in the (hey, morning!/normal) state."

I feel so horrible today, wth is wrong with me. Isit stress ? Nah, don't think its the main reason.
I wonder what's with his odd behaviour towards me these few days, did i do something wrong ? I merely ask some simple questions, and i get some seriously nasty,distasteful, reply back at me. Maybe he doesn't feel it, oh well, can't really tell it straight into his face can i ?
Sigh, i don't really feel as secure as before, probably due to the fact that my buddies are in the army and i can't spent as much time with them as i used to.
All those things that gets bottled up inside, and the harsh reality to be with people i don't really like, is taking a toll man. I'll prob not feel this way tomorrow, this may be the lowest sh1t feeling i've felt since secondary 1. lol.
Tomorrow W I L L be a better day, for whatever things i do i guess. Nah, i'm sure of it. Kind of lazy to put on a mask daily, guess i should be myself. To hell with people screwing my life, its payback time.

Till now, i've not met anyone with such karma when he's angry.
Who in the world doesn't have a temper, yet i don't see a point in
making a fuss when any1 is angry. Sure i get irritated/pissed over stuffs, but i've never ever given a threat to any1 jus because i'm angry. I'll just get all scrunch(*%(%) inside, and feint ignorant on the outside. Needless to say there won't be any follow up sh1t when i'm quarreling with someone. I don't see the need to make a bigg fuss over a quarrel by doing stuff that impales my maturity.
If i'm unhappy over something, i'll say it out and prob demand an explanation or whatever. Never have i resorted to stupid acts of frustation.
Perhaps i've never really been that angry i guess.
Some wound heals over time, while others leave permanent scars.
Anyway, this is just another chapter in my life. Hi there 20 or so years old Ck. Are you doing fine ?? Reply to this 18 year old CK XD.

UGh, i sure get irritated those salesman/ladies who comes knocking on your door very so often to get you to buy their products.
They Slam their fist on my door, bang bang bang while i'm doing my stuff. .
I wonder why they didn't give up after 5 mins lol, they prob saw lights on in my room. (My room is jus above the door below, from my room's window i can look down to see my door.. Get it ? nebermind..)

Then something hit me, uGH,
Those fist bangers are working. . Its their job and they have to support themselves and probably their families as well. I can't get mad over someone that cares for their families's well-being.
So maybe, next time i'll treat those fist bangers with alittle more respect so long as they don't make a hole in my door.

Anyway, i got posted into new banded class again. seh. . . not again.
New class, new teacher, have to say hi this hi that again. . Bleah.
Intially i thought my chemistry class was changed too, little did i know that people was shifted to another class ;/ My gd buddies are all in diff classes !! WTF ?? Is the school dooing ... UGH.
Somehow i was banded to physics class 1. The "best" class in yjc, phew . ..
Major promotions man, from band 4 to 1.
The school's computer got some bug or whatever ??
I don't think its beneficial for me, reasons ?
(I remember my Gp teacher specifys the need to support a stand with reasons..)

I want a ct that teaches me something and not jus come to school
